ABOUT

Bethany | 24 | Child of the Light

I design things, take pictures, and - oh, yeah - I write.

It seems only natural that all three of my creative loves should have a home here. Primarily, though, this is where I write. This is the fourth blog I've created and the first one I haven't deleted. There are so many of us, twenty-somethings with blogs... I know.

But something really beautiful continues to happen when I share my personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences on the Internet: people reach out to tell me that they have benefitted from something I've written. And that's really the point, isn't it?

I'm sure my posts will contain more about me than you ever wanted to know, so I'll leave it here for now:

I'm Bethany. I'm 24. I call myself a Child of the Light, which is my favorite way to say that Jesus saved me. Chicago is home for now, but I'm from the other side of Lake Michigan. I write about being sensitive and introverted, making a lot of mistakes and learning from them, and the theme that underlines everything in my life: God's goodness, which somehow never ceases to surprise me. I've come to learn that every bad thing that happens to me will eventually become a great testimony. (And probably a blog post.)

God has given me words, and that means I need to write them. And, more importantly, share them with you.
